Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump were no-shows at their father's big speech at Mar-a-Lago, in which the twice impeached one-term President, who is under investigation for espionage, announced a 2024 run. Trump is probably feigning to take another shot at the White House (hopefully, not literally) to dodge any indictments that might be coming his way.
According to The Daily Beast, Don Jr. was on a hunting trip, and Ivanka is out of politics. The New York Post reported that the former President pleaded with Ivanka to be on stage with him when he made his announcement to no avail.
She won't be working with Daddy's campaign.
"I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics," Ivanka said.
"While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena," she added. "I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our administration's accomplishments."
Jared was there, probably thinking of all that Saudi cash he pocketed while his father-in-law was in office.
Even Fox News took a jab at Lumpy:
The former President's speech was widely panned, except by Trump bootlicker Lindsey Graham, and he doesn't count.
