House Democrats Troll McCarthy So Hard Over Speaker Vote Fail

Things got a little crazy with Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-3-time-loser) failing to secure the votes to elevate his crazy ass to House Speaker. Democrats were unified, giving Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries votes from all 212 members of the House Democratic Caucus. It was the first day of work with Republicans in the majority in the House, and the dysfunction was palpable. Off the charts.

The unity with Democrats just highlighted the disorder in the Republican party, and the look on McCarthy's face as the third voting session failed to bring him the votes needed was incredible. MAGA Republicans have hijacked the party with the former president's help, and it was bizarre since Donald Trump endorsed McCarthy for the speakership.

This once-in-a-century humiliation of a party’s nominee for Speaker is chickens coming home to roost for McCarthy, who whitewashed right-wing insurrectionism on the House floor. Nobody’s getting killed now, but the House GOP now sleeps in the bed they made with Trump and Bannon.
