On a podcast, Rep. Jim Jordan complained that not enough people are getting tough these days and claimed it might be because kids don't fight in schools anymore.
What parent wouldn't want little Johnny to come home with a black eye and a bloody nose? That's the dream.
Rep. Jordan was asked when he decided to become a conservative after a quick answer veered off into one of the favorite topics of MAGA cultists: The pussification of America.
Jordan said competition in sports swayed him to being a conservative even though his family was conservative. We know all about Gym's prowess on the wrestling mat.
"You don't have people competing, and frankly I don't think you have enough people involved in being tough," Jordan said. "No one gets in a fight in school anymore. You don't have enough kids playing football or wrestling. I think that's a problem."
Well, Jim, actually, wrestling comes with its own set of problems, if you know what I mean. (wink wink)
With the amount of bullying which has translated into suicides in our youth, especially with social media, you'd think a member of Congress would be smarter.
That's the new Republican ticket. Send your fourth-grader to class and tell him to punch a classmate in the face. Then let the chips fall. Your kids will be tougher because of it.
Jordan also took his 'kids fighting' pitch to the playgrounds..
