Everyone has heard of service dogs, who can help people with the most amazing things. They can be their eyes, their hands and their early warning medical alert systems. I have also heard of other service animals, such as horses and even pot-bellied pigs. But I can't say that I heard of a therapy chicken until Penelope.

One day in Tennessee, David the weatherman saw Penelope during a remote broadcast during a snowstorm. So Dave rescued Penelope, saving her life. In turn, Penelope helped David, who had just suffered a mini-stroke and was struggling with Depression. Now they are the best of friends. And Penelope is the best dang weather hen in the world!
