Yesterday there was a mass shooting that killed at least 8 people and injured several others in Texas. The shooter was shot dead. There was the usual press conference where everyone paid homage to thoughts and prayers while failing to mention the lack of any regulation in Texas. In fact, the state representative, Jeff Leach, authored the permitless carry law along with ALEC and the NRA that allows any old person in Texas to be a gunslinger.
But hey, they're having a vigil today at the local Baptist church so they can sling some prayers along with their worship of the NRA and Second amendment. Never mind that at least eight people have permanently lost their constitutional rights, to one person who imposed his over theirs. Never mind that some of them were CHILDREN. Never mind all that, because they're praying, and proud of their first responders and glad it wasn't ten or twelve or twenty or two hundred dead.
And the wheels will turn and turn and turn but no justice will be served.
