Glenn Grothman questions why people didn't vote the way he wanted them to vote and then gets rude when he doesn't get the answer he wanted.

The House Republicans took another turn at bullying and scapegoating the D.C. city government. In particular, Wisconsin's slob of a representative, Glenn Grothman, was exceptionally egregious in his laziness, rudeness and stupidity. Obviously indifferent to what Mayor Muriel Bowser was saying, Grothman asked her this question:

Could you explain why people got elected to the Washington DC council? At least on the face of it, it doesn't seem they are electing people for whom any crime is a top priority, which I can't figure out.

Mayor Bowser diplomatically and directly answered his question, basically saying that the people will elect who they want and it's her job to work with whomever they send. When Grothman didn't get the answer he wanted, he rudely blew off Mayor Bowser and her answer, which is not surprising, given Grothman's long history of racism and misogyny.

It is also not surprising that Grothman is not familiar with how democracy works, considering how gerrymandered the state of Wisconsin is, thanks to Grothman and his fellow Republicans. The only thing he has had to worry about each election cycle is not ticking off the Republican establishment. Otherwise, he was able to coast through each election.

But with a real Supreme Court coming in a couple of months, it'll be fun to see his face when he sees democracy in action first hand.
