Even as Felon Trump was doing damage control for calling Milwaukee "horrible," news was breaking that he didn't want to stay in Milwaukee during the Republican convention.
June 20, 2024

On Tuesday, Felon Trump landed in that "horrible" city of Milwaukee on his way to Racine, Wisconsin, to hold a rally. The rally was held right next to Lake Michigan and just a hop and skip from the sprawling eighth wonder of the world, The Felon Trump Successful Foxconn Campus for Widget Making. Oops, my bad. I meant to say the growing Microsoft data center that President Joe Biden helped bring to where Trump had failed in bringing Foxconn.

At the rally, The Felonious Grump started the rally by going on the defensive and trying to do more damage control for his anti-Milwaukee comments, even going as falsely claiming that he had personally picked Milwaukee for the RNC convention. The choice came down to Milwaukee or Nashville. Milwaukee was chosen only because Nashville city leaders were smart enough to actively sabotage their bid to the host city.

But even as Felon Trump was falsely proclaiming his love for the city he had called horrible, the news was breaking that he was planning on staying at a Trump hotel in Chicago:

A Milwaukee police source told the Journal Sentinel that Donald Trump intended to stay in Chicago and commute to Milwaukee during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July — a plan the former president’s campaign spokeswoman denied existed.

The denial Tuesday comes as ABC7 in Chicago and the New York Times reported that the presumptive presidential nominee had planned to stay in the Windy City during the convention.

ABC7 cited an unnamed high-ranking law enforcement source who told the television station that Trump planned to commute to Milwaukee, with a second source confirming the account and a third saying he is making plans to stay in Chicago.

The New York Times reported that Trump had planned to stay at a Trump hotel in Chicago but that changed Tuesday after reporters from the Times and Chicago station started asking about it.

Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told the Journal Sentinel that Trump would be staying in Milwaukee for the RNC.

Noticeable by its absence is even the hint that they have any rooms reserved at a Milwaukee hotel, since most of them are already booked solid.

Then again, with any amount of luck and justice, this will all be a moot point. Felon Trump faces sentencing for his 34 felony convictions just days before the convention. It's very possible that Trump might be forced to phone in his acceptance of the nomination from Merde Lardo where he is on house arrest, or even better, from Rikers Island.
