House Speaker Mike Johnson gave a pathetic response to Donald Trump’s appalling remarks following the horrific death of legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.

CNN’s Manu Raju's question to Johnson should have been an easy one to answer. Most people aren't shocked by much of what Trump says these days, but two Americans were brutally murdered, and their son is being held without bail. And their daughter discovered her parents' lifeless bodies. Still, somehow, the president relished in the moment, finding glee in the deaths because Reiner dared to be a critic of his.

“Mr. Speaker, do you condemn Trump’s post about Rob Reiner?”Raju asked.

“I don’t do ongoing commentary about everything that’s said by everybody in government every day,” Johnson said. “We are trying to bring down health care costs for the American people. They’re very important votes, very important issues, and that’s what we’re focused on."

When Raju noted that other House Republicans weren't pleased with Trump's reprehensible remarks, Johnson blew him off.

“I gave commentary this morning, and you all heard it,” Johnson added.

Johnson ran away from the simple question. Johnson's response was predictable because of his "Golly, I don't know nothin'!" reaction every time Trump displays his lack of decency. What a dark place this country has become. No morals, no decency, no respect from this president and his enablers.

Mike Johnson refuses to comment on Trump’s post about Rob Reiner and runs away from reporters.
