Paging alleged rapist Brett Kavanaugh! Cleanup on aisle 8th Circuit Court of Appeals...again.

Today the 8th Circuit ordered Missouri to use the 2025 map which gerrymandered out the only Democratic district -- again.

And tomorrow, there will be an appeal to the United States Supreme Court. Again.

This time, however, the 8th circuit put a stay on their ruling to allow the appeal to take place without disrupting what was thought to be the settled ballots for November.

Attorney Steve Vladeck writes: "Just to be as clear as possible, this is going to force the Supreme Court (or Justice Kavanaugh) to intervene *again.*

But there’s every reason to think that the parties will seek that intervention (and #SCOTUS will provide it) fast enough to prevent this ruling from actually going into effect."

And more:

"In other words, we’re in for some chaotic headlines and lots of wasted effort by a bunch of judges and lawyers, but I just don’t see this ending with a change to the status quo—in which Missouri is using, and will use, its 2022 map this cycle.

If anything, that makes this ruling even more insane."

Well, yes. WTF is the point here, beyond proving that those pursuing this crazy lawsuit are bigots seeking to nullify black voters' representation?

And Missouri, do us all a favor and quit electing wingnuts across the board. It's getting embarrassing now.
