Has it been a week or what? CPAC seems to be a huge flop, with more speakers than attendees. And of course, the theme has been "anti-woke", which means something entirely different in wingerland than it does for the rest of us. Trump gave a truly delusional speech which the ten or so attendees ate up. I have a theory: CPAC Maryland was shunned not because of Matt Schlapp, but because Republicans desperately want to freeze Trump out while keeping their own noses clean. Time will tell, I guess.
Next week the “weaponized government” committee will have yet another debacle of a meeting. Republican state legislatures will think they’re “owning the libs” with more bizarre bills intended to troll everyone and convince the country it’s ungovernable so the billionaires can step in and save us all. We can’t let that happen.
