CNN had Dr. Alexander Garza on to explain his comment in the New York Times why our response to combatting Ebola should mirror our anti-terrorism efforts. Garza was assistant secretary and chief medical officer of the Department of Homeland Security from 2009 to 2013. Perhaps that's why the analogy came so easily to him, but it did result in this unfortunate chryon today that met with widespread ridicule. Actor Kal Penn later replied via twitter that CNN was the Ebola of news outlets.
