Having just released "Lola", The Kinks were at the height of their popularity in 1970. However, this tune remains a somewhat overlooked gem off of the same album. This one was penned by Dave Davies, rather than his brother, Ray, who usually handled writing duties. It's a mellow and sentimental song, but definitely just as strong as any of their other works. I'd say that this is a must-listen for any Kinks fan, but you might as well listen to Lola vs. Powerman and the Moneygoround as a whole. It's a great album, and hearing this song in context will only add to the listening experience.
