The new skit is about the Newsweek story and has the usual characters. Here's a question. Are these skits turning Matthews into a farcical character now and undermining his chances to be viewed as a serious Talk show host for NBC? Case in point. Its no secret that Matthews has always had his eye on subbing for Tim Russert on MTP though I can't remember a time when Russert has missed a show. I know many people have problems with him on both sides of the aisle and don't take him seriously already, but there is a majority of people who don't dissect these shows like we do.
