Howard responds to Waas. Murray wondered why Kurtz couldn't do a little more digging in the Swiftboating of John Murtha story.

Howard replies:

"I would welcome a deeper examination, as I had three hours to write the story on deadline."

(Update): I understand about deadlines Howard, but it took me all of five minutes to find out the extra facts. I'm curious as to if his editor's gave him the three hour deadline. If so, then that is a breakdown in the editing process. At least he responded to the criticism.
