On Sunday President Bush told George Stephanopoulos that the strategy in Iraq has "never been "stay the course."" Well, I guess he was just joking the past few years..

Remember, Ken Mehlman tried to pull the same thing back in August during his appearance on Meet The Press and Jon Stewart called him out on it.

And Dan Bartlett is jumping in there too: The White House earlier had said the report in Sunday's editions of the Times was not accurate. Bartlett said he thought it "might have been overwritten." "It's never been a stay the course strategy," he said.
