Kansas Democratic Party Suggests Revised Invite to

President Bush’s Campaign Fundraiser for Nick Jordan

Topeka - In light of Sen. Nick Jordan’s welcome association with President Bush, Dick Cheney and the failed policies of the Bush administration, the Kansas Democratic Party is suggesting a more appropriate invitation to this Thursday’s fundraiser.

“A lifelong Kansan, Nick Jordan is a strong supporter of President George W. Bush, and Bush’s policies at home and abroad.

“For 12 years, Nick has worked tirelessly in the Kansas Senate to create a moderate public image, while never wavering from his true conservative credentials and his support for our President.

“Nick believes in President Bush and his policy of keeping our troops in Iraq indefinitely. Nick believes there’s nothing wrong with America that can’t be fixed by continuing to spend hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq. Read on...

Given how poor his popularity levels are and how disastrous his presidency has been, it's no surprise that GOP candidates want to stay as far from Bush publicly as possible, but they'll take his help to raise money from the fringe party base nonetheless. (see Senator John McCain) I have to hand it to the Kansas Democratic Party. They have embraced the internets and are showing some serious backbone. It helps to have strong Democrats like Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Rep. Nancy Boyda around to back up their message.
