The heavy brass arrangement gives this piece a unique sound amongst the synth-driven electronic musicians and guitar-driven indie musicians of the present day. However, the horns also provide a harmonic support system that reacts to the melody, while also giving it room to breathe. The melody is good, but the real character comes from St. Vincent's performance and lyricism, which are both humorous and thought-provoking. If you're looking for something new and fresh-sounding, I highly recommend this song. The rest of the album will be released on February 25th, which I'm eager to check out along with her past material.
