(Above 2007 video: Ted Nugent Curses Out Hillary, Obama, Feinstein And Issues Threats With Machine Guns)

Since Ted Nugent started to appear with Texas gubernatorial hopeful and state Attorney General Greg Abbott (R), he's been under a barrage of pressure for his sick and twisted comments about President Obama and other democratic politicians:

"I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod, if not shame enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the ACORN community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America,"

Nugent continued. "I think America will be America again when Barack Obama, [Attorney General] Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, [Sen.] Dick Durbin, [former New York City Mayor] Michael Bloomberg and all of the liberal Democrats are in jail facing the just due punishment that their treasonous acts are clearly apparent."

CNN is reporting that Nugent apologized for his "subhuman mongrel" comparison comment of the president, but it took him a while to get there.

"I do apologize – not necessarily to the President – but on behalf of much better men than myself," he said in an interview with conservative radio host Ben Ferguson, who's also a CNN political commentator.

Nugent said he apologizes "for using the streetfighter terminology of 'subhuman mongrel' instead of just using more understandable language, such as 'violator of his oath to the Constitution'.

"In his apology, Nugent appeared to regret more the fact that his language has been tied to Republican politicians from his state, such as Abbott, Gov. Rick Perry and Sen. Ted Cruz."I apologize for using the term," he said. "I will try to elevate my vernacular to the level of those great men that I'm learning from in the world of politics."

Do you see him actually say he apologized to President Obama? I didn't, either. it wasn't until he got Twitter heat that he was forced to do the honors.

Later on in the interview – after some people on Twitter argued Nugent's comments weren't a real apology – Ferguson asked Nugent if he was directly apologizing to the President for the comments.

"Yes," Nugent replied.

Sorry, no sale. But let's say we accept him at his word and accept this apology. Then maybe he should apologize for these words too. We all remember this performance by the psycho-rocker: Ted Nugent Curses Out Hillary, Obama, Feinstein And Issues Threats With Machine Guns

Nugent: I was in Chicago last week I said---Hey Obama, you might want to suck on one of these you punk? Obama, he's a piece of shit and I told him to suck on one of my machine guns

Let's hear it for them. I was in NY and I said hey Hillary---you might want to ride one of these into the sunset you worthless bitch...Since I'm in California, I'm gonna find-- she might wanna suck on my machine gun! Hey, Dianne Feinstein, ride one of these you worthless whore. Any questions? Freeeeedom!

In 2007, he called Obama a "piece of sh*t," Hillary Clinton a "worthless bitch" and Diane Feinstein a "worthless whore."

Does Greg Abbott really want to be seen with this cretin?
