If you weren't watching cable news this afternoon, consider yourself fortunate, because they were just going crazy over the fact that Iran was holding 10 United States sailors, claiming they were somewhere they shouldn't be.

The 10 American sailors aboard the small riverine vessels were on a training mission around noon ET when one of the boats may have experienced mechanical failure and drifted into Iranian-claimed waters, officials said. Iran's coast guard took them into custody.

The officials said it's unclear whether the sailors — nine men and one woman — had strayed into Iranian territorial waters before they were captured.

Chris Matthews and Steve Schmidt were going on and on about how the President should change his speech, he should eliminate all mention of the Iran nuclear agreement, and should just bury all mention of all things Iran.

Just after President Obama's speech, there was a breaking news bulletin from CNN:

Will the cable news anchors concede that the President of the United States might be smarter than they are?
