Meet the Press host Chuck Todd continues to lower the bar for Trump. While speaking to Clinton surrogate John Podesta about the upcoming debate, here's Todd suggesting that all of the negative campaign ad the Clinton campaign has run against Donald Trump might suddenly become useless if Trump manages to restrain himself this Monday.

TODD: It's clear that temperament, you believe is his Achilles heel. I want to play for you a montage of ads that you guys are running. Fourteen ads you guys have unveiled since August first. Thirteen of them have to do with Trump's temperament. […]

What if the Donald Trump you're portraying in these TV ads is not the Donald Trump that shows up on stage on Monday night?

I'd say that's a question for Todd and his ilk in the media. I'd put the odds of them giving Trump a complete pass for the last year at about ninety nine percent if he manages to make it through the entire ninety minutes without saying anything offensive or outrageous.
