A new push to intimidate and silence the mainstream media has begun by Trump supporters to attack anyone who highlights Breitbart's CEO Steve Bannon's history of misogyny, anti-Semitism and racism.

They are trying to normalize Steve Bannon and Breitbart as just run of the mill conservatives.

In all honesty, Breitbart is the new run of the mill conservative outlet, but the media still refuses to acknowledge how fringe the GOP has become.

Give it time, they will get there.

During a segment of CNN's At This Hour With Berman and Bolduan, co-host Kate Bolduan was attacked by RNCer Randy Evans for highlighting Breitbart's sordid history and backed it up by reading the headlines of their many vile stories.

When Bolduan asked of America believes Bannon's hire was a sound decision, Evans claimed Kate was reading talking points from the Democratic National Committee.

When Kate objected, he doubled down hard and whining about how mean she was the previous twenty four minutes to Donald Trump before he got on the air.

The exchange went something like this:

"Randy, you trust Reince Priebus. do you trust Steve Bannon?"

"Oh, absolutely. I'm not surprised Democrats would be overly critical of the chief strategist that beat them in the election. The biggest asset Steve Bannon brings to bear is he's actually in touch with a majority of the American people and it scares both establishment Republicans and Democrats because it means he looks past the establishment that's in Washington, DC.

"Right, but Randy, when you say majority of the American people agree with birth control makes women unattractive and crazy? These are headlines from Breitbart news. Bill Kristol, Republican spoiler, renegade Jew? You can see the headlines on the screen right now. You think a majority of America agrees with this?"

No, I think what you are doing is you are reading from the talking points of the Democratic National Committee which is to say --"

"No, I'm absolutely not. No. He's the head of Breitbart news..."

The battled back and forth on this issue.

Bolduan remained steadfast that's she's allowed to question any president-elect on their choices, especially when they are backing off their campaign promises.

Evans whined that when Trump tried to act presidential, she said he's being soft.

His responses were pure spin. The kind of spin we've seen spewed out by Trump surrogates for a year and a half.

Can't beat the facts, attack the messenger.

She stood up to him fine, but I do have a suggestion.

Bolduan should have cut off Evans mic after she had had enough and ended the segment. But he kept talking and talking like an idiot even when she said they were done.

You don't have to be nice to morons.

And part of the problem is the media sometimes gives whining Trumper supporters too much time to rant about nonsensical false equivalencies.
