When looking back on all the blues cats of the 20th century, Sleepy John Estes covered a lot of ground. From being in a jug band to country blues of the 1920's, through the Bluebird Record's sound of the 30's & 40's and even a bit of the Chicago blues after WWII, he staked a claim in all of it.

To me, he is also one of the definitive, most original and unique voices of the blues too.

And yes, Robert Plant did cop a few lyrics from this for "Custard Pie."
