Can You Spare Five Bucks? C&L Needs YOU
July 29, 2019

We're just wrapping up our 15th year as a progressive voice in the wilderness of conservative darkness. When I started Crooks and Liars I never imagined it would become a vocation. At the time it was a chance to weigh in on the horrors that led up to the Iraq war, but over time it became much, much more.

Along the way, we highlighted the Beltway media’s many failures in refusing to hold George Bush, Dick Cheney and Colin Powell accountable for the many lies they foisted on the public and the UN, including the stupid lie that the WMDs Saddam was harboring would be used to rain down mushroom clouds all across our many cities.

We helped expose those lies then, and we're heading into our 16th year needing to tackle an unprecedented number of lies from the Racist-in-Chief.

But we need help. Your help.

Google and Facebook have taken over the digital advertising markets. With the help of political consultants who thought cheap targeted ads were the answer, many progressive activists' voices have been strangled out of existence. It's happening to us, too.

Doing this job day in and day out in the Age of Fascism takes a heavy toll on a person’s psyche, but we’ve managed to sustain ourselves in spite of the grind. It's a labor of love, but we still have to pay the bills.

This time, we need a little extra help. In addition to any up-front donation you can give right now, please sign up to make a recurrent donation of at least $5 per month to help offset monthly expenses.

2020 is going to be a landmark year in our country. Help us keep holding the liars accountable. Please make a commitment for a small monthly donation today.

Can you help us out?

For nearly 20 years we have been exposing Washington lies and untangling media deceit, but now Facebook is drowning us in an ocean of right wing lies. Please give a one-time or recurring donation, or buy a year's subscription for an ad-free experience. Thank you.
