Senator Lindsey Graham needs some remedial review in whistleblower protections, it seems. On Sunday, he made an appearance on Fox News to parrot the old tired talking points while threatening to force the whistleblower to testify in public should impeachment come to the Senate.
Anyone watching this past week is a better lawyer than Graham, since Donald Trump himself confirmed the whistleblower's allegations. There's no need for testimony from anyone because Trump himself has admitted it. Twice.
Nevertheless, he bloviated.
"Here’s what’s going to happen: if the whistleblowers' allegations are turned into an impeachment article it’s imperative that the whistleblower be interviewed in public, under oath, and cross-examined,” Graham told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo, going on to promise "if that doesn't happen in the House, I'll make sure it happens in the Senate."
Again, this whistleblower earned his or her anonymity by following the proper procedures for reporting his/her concerns, and after the complaint was filed, Graham's hero, Donald John Trump, admitted they were true.
Senator Lindsey Graham seems to have forgotten all of that, but he sure memorized all of the BS talking points. Honestly, that threat of his should be censured or sanctioned, but instead Republicans will just repeat it.
Makes one wonder what dirt Donald Trump has on Graham, doesn't it?
