Knoxville's Superdrag were arguably the best rock and roll band of the late nineties/early 2000s. John Davis wrote melodies that were leagues beyond most of his peers and the band could lay down the rock as good as anyone out there. In The Valley Of Dying Stars is my favorite of theirs and is considered by many to be a classic. Check out this oral history of the record from Magnet and play it loud.
