I always thought Nancy Pelosi's one big mistake was refusing to give Marge Greene a committee assignment to punish her for her general idiocy. Because all she did was let her off the hook for two years.
Fines for not wearing a mask? No biggie! She just started a PAC that allowed her to pay herself. She probably made a lot more money than she would have earned if she just had to do her job.
She has no intelligence, but she does have survival instincts. Instead of working on a sewers subcommittee in the basement boiler room, she was handed unlimited spare time. So she had two years to concentrate on building her influence on social media, two years to fundraise, two years where she had no work other than accumulating power. And she did it.
And now, she's got Kevin McCarthy, the pathetically ambitious aspiring speaker, by the cojones. And she's twisting, by God.
Listen to this press conference yesterday, as someone who probably can't even find Ukraine on a map compares the Russian invasion of Ukraine to "the invasion at the border" and vows to audit their spending.
"We had five million people cross our border illegally. And let’s compare that to how many Russians invaded Ukraine. 82 thousand Russians have invaded Ukraine," she said. (She probably thinks that's a brilliant analogy!)
"I think the American people and the taxpayers of this country deserve to know why the Biden administration and this Congress is so interested in funding the protection of Ukraine’s border and not the protection of our border. That’s a very good question."
No. No, it isn't, you dumb stump.
Ignorance and ambition is a very dangerous combination -- especially for a Putin propagandist.
