Carlson spent more than 13 minutes attacking Jackson Lee with racial accusations that stopped just short of using the n-word.
CARLSON: Racism, you see, is a national security threat. It's a national security threat. Really, Sheila Jackson Lee? Tell us how racism is a national security threat. Speak slowly. We've got plenty of time, but of course, she won't do that. She's got no argument. She's got no facts. She doesn't even have a sincere belief in what she's saying. It's absurd and she knows it and by the way, Sheila Jackson Lee doesn't want to protect a country she despises from national security threats. Why would she want to do that?
No, that's not the point. What she's doing here every day is leveling a racial attack, a blood libel, against an entire group of Americans while simultaneously pretending to be the victim of attacks from that same group. Stop hitting me, she howls as she punches you in the face. It's such a common tactic at this point, used constantly by Al Sharpton, by the ADL, by so many others that you may not even notice it anymore, but it's still disgusting, it's still immoral, it's still divisive.
Carlson knows darn well that when he targets someone, his fans threaten that person. Just ask Rep. Eric Swalwell, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or the two New York Times journalists Carlson falsely accused of doxing him. So. it’s no accident that instead of respectfully arguing against Jackson Lee’s bill, he’s deliberately endangering her.
I’ll bet that, in addition to the Carlson Crime of being a Black Democrat, Tuckums is a tad worried about Jackson Lee's threat to his own backside here. Later in his screed, he revealed that her bill targets replacement theory, a signature theme of his. And, he obviously worries he could be held liable for the violence he unleashes in his white supremacist fan base: “Under this bill, you would be criminally responsible for the violent acts of people you have never met and you would go to jail for terrorism,” he said.
“So, what would qualify as a felony under this law? Well, virtually everything,” Carlson added. He means virtually everything he espouses and for which the Murdochs pay him millions every year.
There was much more in this disgusting, dangerous rant (transcript here) but I’ll leave you with two more nuggets below:
