More bad legal news for Donald Trump. CNN reports that the Orange Menace has lost an emergency request to the federal appeals court to block his closest aides from testifying to a grand jury in the DOJ Special Counsel investigation. This particular grand jury is investigating Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

The request was made just a few days ago and was swiftly decided, and not in his favor. Ironically, this decision was made just moments before Trump entered the courthouse in Manhattan to be formally arraigned on 34 felony charges related to hush money payments and false business records. The aides, including Mark Meadows, could be brought before the federal grand jury in a matter of DAYS. Trump could still appeal on executive privilege, but thus far those attempts have all failed.

Donald Trump could appear to the Supreme Court, although there is no indication that is planned.

In addition to Mark Meadows, others who may be affected by this ruling include former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, former national security adviser Robert O’Brien, Goebbel's wannabe Stephen Miller and Dan Scavino.

Tick tock. The walls are closing in.
