Representative Justin Jones has been reinstated as a representative after the Nashville council voted unanimously to send him back to the Tennessee statehouse.

After the Nashville Metropolitan Council suspended their rules to vote to allow an immediate vote on Jones' reinstatement instead of the usual monthlong nomination period, the council voted 36-0 for Jones' reinstatement

He was sworn in on the steps of the State Capitol an hour later.

Here are some photos from Council Member Antoinette Lee.

It's expected that Justin Pearson will also be reinstated shortly. Republicans really screwed up on this. They thought for sure they'd be able to bury their expulsion of two eloquent, passionate community organizers. They were wrong.

Here is Jones being sworn in again.
