Whenever former President Donald Trump tells a story and refers to someone calling him 'sir' as part of the narrative, you know some significant component of the anecdote is wrong. Trump has told sir stories for every major issue, which usually involves a big strong man breaking into tears.
Republican Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy went full Donald Trump with his own sir story while talking to Fox News. The 'sir' was a man in a Trump t-shirt who "broke out in tears."
"One of the people who actually stood up at that same event was somebody who walked in with a Trump shirt, broke down in tears as he asked the question, thinking about the country and what we were doing for his children, said he was switching over to vote for me," he insisted.
"I'm absolutely running for the presidency," he added. "We're running for the win to take this all the way."
Riiigghhht. So, a guy in a Trump t-shirt is switching to vote for Ramaswarmy, but he still wears the Trump shirt? Yeah, that never happened.
I'll just leave this here:
