A number of state Republican Party operations are now operating on fumes, mostly due to a combination of donations drying up, absurd election result-denying lawsuits, and party apparatus's being overrun by incompetent MAGA zealots. Raw Story detailed the amusing (and pathetic) story of Minnesota's Republican Party where their latest FEC filing showed a scant $53.81 in the coffers. They were also recently fined $100,000 for campaign finance violations for shoddy (non-existent) record keeping.

According to the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission, the Republican Party of Minnesota has just $53.81 in the bank — not even enough money to buy a single Amazon Fire tablet with Prime Day discounts applied. By contrast, the party is reporting almost $334,000 in debts.
All of this comes as the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party recently gained full control of the state legislature, and is working with Gov. Tim Walz to pass a flurry of progressive legislation, from voting rights to gun reforms to universal school lunches.
The Minnesota GOP is not alone in its financial woes — a number of Republican state committees face a dire cash shortfall, including states that could be decisive in the 2024 presidential election.
Arizona Republicans are also down to their last $50,000, enough to pay salaries for a few weeks but that's about it. And Colorado Republicans claim "they're bankrupt and in the process of being evicted." Michigan might even be the most dysfunctional state party of the lot, with public fights, police involvement, the whole nine yards.
