Donald Trump granted (heh) an "interview" to his son Don Jr.'s Rumble podcast.
Let that sink in.
Re: locale, was Trump Senior borrowing the courtroom where he's losing his right to operate a business in New York State? Anything is possible!
And when you have to get your kid to put you on your podcast to get the word out without self-incrimination. And father and son are delighted that Rumble "lets" them say the election was rigged. Hennyway, Don Jr. stuck to safe topics like "isn't is a shame how bad Fox News is these days?"
Real "Grandpa bitching in his recliner about Tucker Carlson" vibes. Transcript via Media Matters:
DONALD TRUMP (GUEST): The things that've taken place in our country, in particular, the border, Afghanistan, the way they withdrew from Afghanistan, like the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, in my opinion, the withdraw from Afghanistan, and by the way, I'm the one who got it so you could withdrawal.

So many mistakes that have been made, and those mistakes wouldn't have been made had the election not been rigged. Am I allowed to say that on your program?
DONALD TRUMP JR. (HOST): Yeah, you can. That's what's nice about Rumble. You can say what you want.
TRUMP: If you say that now on Fox, or anybody, they would say, "Oh, let's cut that, let's cut that." And, you know, part of the problem is they're so afraid of speaking the truth that it actually hurts them.
TRUMP JR.: Is that why they fired Tucker? I mean, he gave you a lot of credit two weeks ago on foreign policy, that you're the only guy that would have stopped, perhaps, these wars. Do you think that, you know, going against the uni-party, going against the establishment and actually having those conversations is a big part of that?
TRUMP: I think it's a shame what happened to Tucker. He had the number one show, he was doing great, his show was very interesting, and he was out there in the sense that he was telling the truth. To me, the other ones are out there because they're lying and they're hiding and they're afraid to talk. And in my opinion, Fox would not have had any award -- the first thing they needed was a new law firm.
But if you think about it, it's a platform. People go and they talk about the platform, whether it's elections or anything else. And they say the election was good, the election was bad, everybody talks. They basically said the person holding the platform is libel. This was the craziest case I've ever heard. And to pay almost 800 million dollars, and they have other cases coming.
Trump giving legal advice to Fox News? Folks, Dickens was right: it is indeed the best of times and the worst of times.
