Donald Trump is in dire need of a reread of his “favorite book,” the Bible, assuming he ever read it in the first place. Because while I’m Jewish, I am pretty darned certain that Jesus would never have wanted immigrants to be called “animals.”

But while Trump says he has “many” Bibles at home and is hawking them for $60 each (you can easily get a Bible for free) his rhetoric is a lot closer to Mein Kampf than anything Jesus ever said. He was reading from prescripted remarks, too, meaning he prepared this poison in advance.

TRUMP: A 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia was barbarically murdered by an illegal-alien animal. The Democrats said please don't call them animals, they’re humans. I said no, they're not humans, they’re not humans, they’re animals. And Nancy Pelosi told me that. She said, “Please don't use the word animals, sir, when you're talking about these people.” I said, “I'll use the word ‘animal’ because that's what they are.

I don’t think Jesus would have liked Trump’s deceit, either. Besides the fact that we all know this grifter is glaringly unfamiliar with the Bible, 88-felony-charges Trump was pretending again when he made those remarks to be pro-law and order - despite publicly worshiping the insurrectionists who have violently attacked Capitol police.

We know why Trump behaves this way. What’s the excuse of the law enforcers who showed no objection to the un-Christian, anti-American malignancy spewing out of Trump’s mouth?
