Vice President JD Vance is stumping for Republican candidates who surely wish he weren’t there. On Monday in Greensboro, North Carolina, Vance’s desperate “give us another chance” tour prompted Fox News to cut away.
“As I’ve learned over the past few months, [Democrats] prioritize a whole lot of fraudsters, and we know exactly what happened as a result,” Vance said. “America became a place where you had to be rich to enjoy what used to be an ordinary life for all of our citizens.”
The abject hypocrisy and lack of sizzle led the Fox News host to cut in, saying, “We will bring you right back to this rally if he starts to make news.”
Ouch. But never fear, C-SPAN continued covering the speech. Did Fox News viewers miss any important Vance remarks?
“Now you may not have even heard that, but I actually, I usually don’t misspeak, but I just called them the ‘fart left,’ not the ‘far left,’” Vance said. “I promise that was an accident. So the fake news who will accuse me of bad language, I promise I did not mean to call them the fart left. I meant to call them the far left.”
You see, he said “fart” instead of “far.” It’s similar to how gas prices have reached historic highs because the Trump administration started a war in the Middle East that nobody wanted to fight.
