White House Withdraws Unqualified Pick To Be Director Of ICE

Lance Schroyer's only qualification to lead ICE was being friends with Markwayne Mullin.

The White House has withdrawn Trump's latest unqualified nominee for a major federal government position.

Lance Schroyer, whose only qualification was being an Oklahoma state trooper and a friend of DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, got the boot earlier today.

Politico reports, "Schroyer’s abrupt exit means the agency’s streak of not having a confirmed leader at the top ranks will continue. The Senate has not confirmed an ICE director since 2014 and there is pessimism within the administration’s ranks that the Senate could confirm any nominee with a significant track record at ICE, given how polarizing the agency has become under President Donald Trump."

It's hard to find a qualified person to run an agency that has been turned into a racist secret police force under Stephen Miller, aka mini-Goebbels, control.

Trump only nominates people who pledge fealty to him.
