Donald Trump’s claim that it would be a “small price to pay” if an Iranian attack destroyed two, large American cities should be the last straw for his presidency. It is bad enough that his stupid policies and his even stupider war have made life harder and much more expensive for non-billionaire Americans. Then there is his corruption, his ignorance, his obviously declining health and – oh, yeah, 34 felony convictions.
But no matter how Trump’s lackeys try to spin the hideous, anti-American remarks, his invitation for a foreign country to “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego, a Naval hub, brought President P***y Grabber’s unfitness to a whole new level.
So, kudos to California Gov. Gavin Newsom for putting the topic squarely in the public eye. On Tuesday, Newsom announced that he was directing the State Threat Assessment Center to monitor any threats to the state as the result of Trump’s “dangerous – if not treasonous” open invitation.
Later that day, Newsom told media outlets, “Donald Trump is mentally ill. TIME FOR THE 25TH!”
Yes, I know the cowards that make up the Republican party and Trump’s cabinet of lickspittles and lackeys will never find even a drop of the courage required to permanently send President Purple Hands back to Mar-a-Lago. But their silence is no reason for our own.
“The question is self-evident,” Newsom said, in the video above. “Where the hell are you, Speaker Johnson, Marco Rubio, the great JD Vance? Where is your outrage?”
“Find a backbone. Do your damn job,” Newsom added.
“In the absence of that, it's time for all of us to do our job,” he continued.
Newsom meant that our job is for each and every one of us is to vote, put as many of them out of office as possible and “put an end to the presidency of Donald Trump, as we know it.”
He is 100% right about that, too.
