Jarvis Cocker of Pulp - Surprise appearance - ecstatic crowd.

Rounding up this week of Glastonbury highlights (and there's enough for several more weeks) is a surprise appearance by the legendary Alternative/Brit-Pop band Pulp and their first appearance together in several years. Although they were rumored to be appearing since earlier in the day, it nonetheless set off a riot of anticipation when Jarvis Cocker finally walked onstage. The rest as they say, is history.

Tonight it's Misshapes from that set as it was broadcast later on in the day by BBC 6 Music. Hopefully at some point I will post the complete concert. A great and memorable band that were sadly not as well known over here as they were in the UK, unless of course you don't discount William Shatner's rendition of Common People which was a Pulp anthem of sorts. But then, many people probably don't realize it was a Pulp song to begin with anyway. So maybe you're safe.

Play loud.
