This is one of those songs that moves me no matter how many times I hear it. Leon Russell had made a name for himself as a session player before he stunned the music world with his brilliant self-titled record in 1970. This video is from PBS' Vine Street Sessions in 1971 and the audience includes country blues guitarist Furry Lewis and Memphis legend Don Nix.
