State Senator Wendy Davis is about 5 hours into a standing, talking filibuster against the draconian abortion law Texas lawmakers are attempting to pass. She cannot drink, eat, or even lean on something while she speaks.
Senator Davis must filibuster for 12 hours to stop the bill from passage in this special session. It's brave and it's incredibly difficult just from a physical standpoint, much less from an emotional standpoint. She's being supported by hundreds of Texas residents who are standing in line to witness the filibuster right now.
