Strangely enough, this bluegrass group comes pretty far from any blue grass. Actually, Trampled by Turtles is from Duluth, Minnesota, home of the automatic elevator door. However, just because they aren't from the south doesn't mean they don't do the genre justice. In fact, they're one of the more interesting acts on the scene. Although I know nothing about the bluegrass scene and that is a gross assumption, I would like to think so because their style is a bit more of a folk-blend than pure bluegrass, which ultimately ends up sounding good.
