Ted Cruz called out Trump and his henchmen for planting the National Enquirer's sex scandal story about him and his alleged mistresses.
March 25, 2016

Today after speaking in Wisconsin, Ted Cruz responded to the National Enquirer story that alleges he had affairs with at least five women.

He attacked the story as lies and blamed Trump and his henchmen like Roger Stone for planting the story. "This National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies. It is a tabloid smear. And it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen."

Cruz also said that Roger Stone, a well known political operative and Trump supporter had been "foreshadowing this story for months." "Stone has fifty years of dirty tricks behind him."

He also credits Stone for being the originator of the term "ratf*cking"

"Donald Trump may be a rat, but I have no desire to copulate with him and this garbage does not belong in politics."

Cruz also followed up these remarks with a Facebook post about it as well:
