On Saturday's edition of Watters World, host Jesse Watters alleged that the FBI is actively working to overthrow Trump's presidency, labeling it a "coup' and in a follow-up interview with Kellyanne Conway, the network displayed the word coup in its chyron.
As Fox News intensifies its defense of Trump with more vicious attacks to try and deligitimize Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation into Trump and Russia, they've now switched into coup d'état mode.
This is the illustration of the kind of state-sponsored propaganda that Mussolini would have loved.
On Thursday, Fox News' Mike Huckabee on America's Newsroom claimed the two FBI agents that shared anti-Trump texts were involved in a government overthrow, "This is an intent to stage what essentially amounts to a coup d'etat of the highest elected office in the United States of America."
Having political opinions is perfectly legal for all FBI agents as well as any federal government employee, as all these insidious Trump supporters know. These hypocrites loved when pro-Trump FBI agents illegally worked to undermine HRC's candidacy. They also conveniently left out of their narrative that these agents also had unkind things to say about Obama AG Eric Holder, Sen. Bernie Sanders and even Chelsea Clinton.
During his Watters Words monologue , Jesse said, "is the FBI part of the Resistance?"
Most of law enforcement votes Republican, boot-licker.
Watters then went over the same material that Fox News has been foaming at the mouth over since Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein uncharacteristically released the texts to the media.
Watters continued by saying these message are the smoking gun evidence that the FBI's investigation is tainted, even though Peter Strzok and his girlfriend were taken off the case almost as soon as the Mueller's special counsel began.
Watters suggested, "The investigation into Donald Trump’s campaign has been crooked from the jump. But the scary part is we may now have proof the investigation was weaponized to destroy his presidency for partisan political purposes and to disenfranchise millions of American voters. Now, if that’s true, we have a coup on our hands in America.”
These hyperbolic and outrageous comments from Trump's sycophants are just the beginning since Mueller (a long time Republican that conservatives couldn't praise enough just a few months ago) began cutting deals and indicting former Trump team members.
And as Fox News' favorite judge, Andrew Napolitano, has repeatedly told them often, "In all the years I've worked with FBI agents, cops and prosecutors, I never once found a choirboy. These are tough people with strong opinions who have to be guided by the facts of the law."
