Fox News host Sean Hannity opened his program Tuesday covering the disastrous House Republican Speaker debacle.
Sean had to admit that the infighting and backstabbing by House Republicans over who should be Speaker is turning them into a clown show.
"We begin this New Year with a Fox News alert, " Hannity said. "It is day one of the 188th Congress, and House Republicans now are on the verge of becoming a total clown show if they're not careful."
Hannity then tried to calm the waters.
(It would be nice if Hannity actually knew that it is the 118th Congress that was about to begin.)
For the first time in 100 years, the voting in of the new Speaker of the House failed on the first ballot, and continued to fail for two more votes until they ended the session yesterday.
Journos are already telling us that Republicans may try to adjourn until Thursday. And they may not have the votes to do so.
As Brian Kilmeade told Fox News during yesterday's fiasco, "But there's no doubt about it -- this is a great day for the Democrats."
