It seems like conservatives never tire of hunting for and digging up “proof” that Blacks are getting unfair advantages, with nothing too trivial to turn into a big grievance.
The latest case in point, Dennis Prager on the subject of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes:
PRAGER: Why is the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, why is he referred to as Black and not biracial? Isn't there an inherent dishonesty there? If people were honest, he would be called white as much as he would be called Black.
Had Prager done a simple Google search he would have quickly known why: multiracial people face pretty much the same discrimination as single-race Blacks. As Barack Obama put it, “If I'm outside your building trying to catch a cab, they're not saying, ‘Oh, there's a mixed-race guy.'"
But Prager’s ignorance is deliberate. He doesn’t care why, he only cares about suggesting that Blacks are getting undeserved sympathy that is subjugating whites, the truly oppressed. Instead of trying to lift up any truly disadvantaged or suffering whites, Prager wants to hold everybody down, keep them fighting and look like he’s doing his own kind a favor.
