During House Republicans' press conference Tuesday, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was forced to play dumb and dumber when he was asked why they are having RFK Jr appear before them when he made antisemitic statements.
Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, has asked Kennedy to testify before the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
Scalise attacked Biden's Justice Department going after Trump and then took some questions from reporters. Someone in the Beltway press corps finally did their job.
"You said the House voting conference is standing up to antisemitism when this week you're platforming someone that recently just said antisemitism comments, that Jewish people are immune to COVID and that's how it was created. How do you square that..." the reporter asked.
"I'm not sure what you're referring to, but.." Scalise most likely lied.
"RFK Jr., he's testifying before the judiciary committee," the reporter said.
"Well, he's a Democrat coming before talking about how you're seeing a selective shutting down of opposing views by the Democrats, they're taking people --- " weaselly Scalise replied.
Yada, yada, Scalise, then claimed the Democratic party has a problem with antisemitism, which is ludicrous.
Scalise then unknown to himself admitted that the reason RFK Jr is being called before the House Judiciary is because he's running against Joe Biden.
The reporter continued...
"But I mean, how he did square that? He (RFK Jr) did say antisemitic comments..."
"Well, he's gotta answer that to answer that," Scalise said and then rambled onward.
How is Robert Kennedy Junior's presence at all relevant to any House committee, except if he's called to answer for his insane anti-vaccine stance analysis?
How is RFK Junior going to be helpful to the Jim Jordan faux investigation of law enforcement?
He is not.
RFK Jr is only being called by Republicans to help elevate his crazy anti-vaccine conspiracy theories to raise his profile to Republican donors as a way to hurt President Biden.
