Trump-era FBI Director Kash Patel is slated to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee next week for the panel's annual oversight hearing, and Democrats have already publicly warned the long-embattled Trump official that they don't intend to hold a single punch.
In a post shared to X, Senate Judiciary Democrats made it clear that Kash Patel had better buckle up, because they "will demand" answers for his massive failures as the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
"When he was confirmed, we made it clear that Kash Patel lacked the experience, judgment, and temperament to lead the FBI. Tragically, the results of his incompetence have been staggering," they wrote. "Tragically, the results of his incompetence have been staggering."
They ended the post with this stark warning: "Next week, Judiciary Democrats will demand he answer for his failed leadership."

Patel's last appearance before the congressional oversight committees went down in infamy, after he threw a massive temper tantrum that would give even the crankiest, sleep-deprived toddler a solid run for their money.
Last year's Senate oversight hearing saw Patel lose his mind on California Senator Adam Schiff, after Schiff brutally grilled him over the deeply flawed handling of Jeffrey Epstein's accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over her connection to and involvement with Epstein's expansive sex trafficking ring.
Last year, she sat down for a two-day interview with then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Next thing we knew, she was suddenly being transferred to a cushy minimum-security prison, and Adam Schiff demanded to know why.
The Democratic senator grilled Patel for answers about Maxwell's inappropriate transfer, facilitated by the bureau under his purview, completely skirting the Department of Justice.
That was all it took to uncork Kash Patel's vicious fury.
"What I am doing is protecting this country, providing historic reforms and combating the weaponization of intelligence by the likes of you," Patel screamed at Schiff in the Senate hearing. "And we have countlessly proven you to be a liar in Russiagate, in January 6th.”
"You are the biggest fraud to ever sit in the United States Senate. You are a disgrace to this institution and an utter coward."

Patel's House oversight hearing was no better when now-disgraced, then-Congressman Eric Swalwell questioned him about the appearance of President Donald Trump's name in the infamous Epstein Files.
To make the whole matter especially hilarious for us, Patel was caught jotting down self-encouraging hype notes throughout the House hearing, including things like "Good fight w/ Swalwell" and "Brush off their attacks!"
Given Patel's track record this past year -- that includes allegations of "excessive drinking," wildly loosened hiring requirements within the FBI, and his apparent inability to keep inside FBI details actually inside -- it's guaranteed that this year's hearings will be even worse than last.
