An industrial supply train derailed Thursday morning at the Port of Tampa. Authorities report about 15 cars went off track and that highly flammable ethanol is leaking from several of them, according to WTSP.
The derailment happened about 2 a.m. Access to the port has been closed, according to 13 News, while emergency crews spray foam on the area.
"There are no concerns about spillage or runoff in the stormwater drain and into the Bay," Tampa Fire Rescue CHief Lonnie Benniefield told the station. "Now we're waiting to get with CSX to get some vehicles down here that will upright the rail cars."
This report will be updated as more information becomes avilable.
