Kurt Ralske of Ultra Vivid Scene - a New York eye view of Madchester.

Haven't heard much about Kurt Ralske since his last solo outing in 2001. Ultra Vivid Scene (which he founded and for all intents and purposes was), folded in 1993 but not after releasing three noteworthy if not somewhat obscure albums (obscure, considering their underground status which, if put in context would make everything underground obscure) to good reviews but not massive sales but a very good audience following in Europe.

Tonight it's a track off their 1992 album Rev. Cut-Throat makes for some good comparisons to the Madchester scene going on right around the same time across the ocean. So it's no wonder they made a bigger splash in Europe than here. We were a little slow to pick up on that one.

Good stuff from a band gone before their time.
