Herman “Roscoe” Ernest III, the beloved drummer and heartbeat of Dr. John’s band, will be undergoing surgery for mouth cancer on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 followed by more than a month of chemo. Since Herman will be silenced for the next few weeks, we wanted to create a way for those who love him to share their thoughts and prayers with him.

Here's Dr. John, Roscoe and co. performing "How Come My Dog Don't Bark (When You Come Around)". Roscoe, you're in our thoughts and we hope to hear you back behind the kit soon.
