FBN's Melissa Francis Complains That Bill Clinton ‘Running Around In The White House Again’ Has ‘An Icky Feel’

It was bad enough that a business anchor like Melissa Francis also cohosts a political opinion show but she took a series of personal shots at Bill and Hillary Clinton that was beyond unprofessional. Rep. Jason Chaffetz was on hand for his own, even nastier personal attack on the Clintons.

On Outnumbered, the “fair and balanced” panel of five conservatives and no liberals began a discussion about the Clintons with one of Fox’s favorite topics: Hillary Clinton’s emails. I’ll spare you their salivating for an indictment and get to the personal attacks. They started with a clip of Carly Fiorina going after Clinton at the JV debate, saying, “Hillary Clinton will do anything to gain and hang onto power, anything. Listen, if my husband did what Bill Clinton did, I would have left him long ago.”

Cohost Andrea Tantaros gave her approval: “I do like Carly Fiorina. I have to say she does seem to get some clear shots on Hillary Clinton on key issues that Hillary is making her whole campaign about, which is fighting for women’s rights even after she bullied them.”

Francis didn’t think it was a “winning point” to be criticizing someone else’s marriage. But she did like Fiorina accusing Hillary of doing “anything” to stay into power.

Francis also noted favorably that Rand Paul had said that if Bill Clinton were a CEO, he would have been ostracized and fired. “Do we want him running around in the White House again? That gives you an icky feel and that, I thought, was a winning point,” Francis opined.

Tantaros agreed on not judging a wife for staying with a husband but refined the attack by saying, “It’s that she [Hillary] actually went after and bullied women who were abused by Bill Clinton.”

Cohost Meghan McCain gushed over Fiorina. “I love that Carly Fiorina is hitting her in the jugular! The Clintons for so long have this veneer that you can’t talk about their relationship, you can’t talk about their marriage and again, private things happen between a man and a woman, but Bill Clinton has a long, long history of nefarious behavior that I think reflects on her as well.”

“We’re talking about this man being back in the White House around young interns completely unhindered,” McCain continued, “’cause he’s not gonna be the president any more and I think all of these things are more than fair game and I love that Carly is doing it because it’s different coming out of her mouth as opposed to a male candidate.”

Really? Was Meghan McCain OK with personal attacks directed towards her family? No. After George W. Bush supporters ran a racist smear campaign against McCain’s sister, she said she had voted for Al Gore and John Kerry because, “There are things that I don’t know if I’ll ever completely get over.”

But when Chaffetz, the show’s #OneLuckyGuy, recommended men were better off “sticking to the issues,” McCain interrupted to disagree. Because Bill Cosby!

MCCAIN: Hillary Clinton is sitting on the stage right now, saying, “Young women of America, I’m your feminist icon. I’m the woman you have to vote for. You’re a woman, so you need to vote for a woman as well.” And I think questioning her relationship to the sexual assault victims from Bill Clinton is more than fair on a lot of different levels and again what kind of feminist does that make Hillary Clinton?

I think it just relates differently to different generations but mine, in particular, in the era of Bill Cosby, is an entirely different context.

Later, McCain gushed, “I love it! I love it! I can’t get enough of Carly!”

The worst was saved for last.

Chaffetz made this nasty attack on the Clintons: “I have a 15 year-old daughter. Here’s what I think people should ask: If you had your 15 year-old daughter and you had to leave for the weekend and you wanted her to stay with somebody, would you leave them with the Clintons?"

Francis, laughing, exclaimed, “Oh Gosh!”

Chaffetz continued, “There’s no possible way I would do that.”

Off camera, Francis got in a smear of her own, saying, “I wouldn’t leave my dog with the Clintons.”

Tantaros closed the discussion with, “That’s a good question, would you leave your daughter with Bill?”

The Clintons are now grandparents so those smears from Chaffetz and Francis are even nastier.

Watch this childish behavior and the overt bias from a supposedly objective business anchor above, from the January 29 Outnumbered.
